Arizona Matsuri 40th Anniversary Social Media Campaign

Arizona Matsuri A Festival of Japan
40th Anniversary Social Media Assets
"The Arizona Matsuri is a two-day festival featuring the culture of Japan. The Arizona Matsuri is a non-profit organization, whose Steering Committee members are drawn from the Arizona Buddhist Temple, the Phoenix Himeji Sister City Committee, the Japanese American Citizens League, the Japanese Friendship Garden of Phoenix, the Japanese Business Association of Arizona, the Japanese Culture Club of Arizona and interested individuals. The Matsuri is the means for the Arizona Matsuri to fulfill its mission of introducing the arts and culture of Japan to Arizona." - azmatsuri.org

This is an annual event that takes place at Steele Indian School Park and is free to attend. The reasoning behind free admission is to allow people to experience a new culture, try new foods, and enjoy live performances.
Campaign SMART Objectives & Goal
Objective 1:
Run an awareness campaign by posting at least once a day on Facebook and Instagram, and once a week on Tiktok. Aim to have 3,500 followers on Instagram and 10,000 followers on Facebook by March 1st.
Objective 2:
Earn a minimum of 10,000 views across both platforms before Feb 24th.

Goal
Create shareable, engaging, high-quality content to meet our objectives. Our event is free admission so we have to create content that will make our audience want to attend and not miss our event. Essentially all of our content has to create a sense of FOMO (fear of missing out).

Campaign Posts
Reach Data Overview
The graphs on the left display data from last year's campaign that was primarily sponsored and boosted posts on both platforms which explains why they performed so well. Without putting any money behind the campaign it would have performed poorly due to the lackluster low quality content.

The graphs on the right display data from the 2024 campaign that was strictly organic content. The main reason behind this was that there wasn’t any funding allocated to a social media campaign. However both platforms were still able to perform well without spending any money.

Follower Data Overview
The graph on the left displays follower data for this year's Facebook campaign and the graph on the right displays follower data for this year's Instagram campaign. Both objectives for this campaign were met with a slight exception of Facebook not getting to 10K followers, but besides that the entire campaign was an overall success.
